Whenever Linked In Long Beach has an event, I'm going! I met many people at its event, whom I would not have met otherwise. At its most recent event, I had the pleasure of meeting a non-profit CHPAA's organizer Dr. Teri Tan, and we had a great conversation. She came to Encore's office after the event, and we found awards fitting the theme, culture, event and budget. Linked In Long Beach provides opportunities to learn about each other, not only the businesses but also the persons. The event lasts 3-4 hours which provides a good length of time to truly learn about each other, instead of just exchanging business cards. This type of mixer works!

I got to meet a few people who I consider contacts. The mixer format gave me an opportunity to talk with these people face to face, which is a plus.

I exhibited at what was one of the first live events of LinkedIn Long Beach at the Long Beach Playhouse. As an exhibitor, I got a few minutes to introduce myself and talk about my business as a travel agent prior to the seminar. After the seminar a gentleman came up to my booth and said “I want to talk to you. I want to do a meeting on a cruise ship.” Over the next month we confirmed his group for the following year, confirmed a second group for the year after that and are in discussions for his group in 2015. He’s become a client and a friend – and it all happened by exhibiting at LinkedIn Long Beach! LILB is a great group with both business potential and for building productive and fun relationships within the community. I highly recommend participating.

I wanted to thank Linked In Long Beach for all their hard work in putting on these events. At the one in March in downtown Long Beach, I was able to meet a lot of diverse and interesting individuals and have already started to meet with them one on one to discuss how we can help each other with our businesses and find potential clients. I look forward to future events and glad I was able to find a good group with great people. Thanks again.

LinkedIn Long Beach events are always a great value. They are an excellent opportunity to network with other experts in person that you may have also connected with via the LinkedIn group. I recommend both the online forum and the events to any professional in or near the Long Beach area.
